The Magic Of Ravn

on October 21, 2016

My one grandpa, he’s Mohawk, and he likes to tell me a lot of really great stories.  One of them got told to him by his friends and he’s Haida, and it’s all about the magic of Raven.

But Ravens aren’t the only ones flying high in the sky in Alaska and making magic happen.  There’s another Raven and this one spells its name like this: Ravn.

Actually Ravn is a airline in Alaska, and when they found out I went flying in Marc Hightower’s 1927 Waco Straight wing biplane, they sent me this very nice letter.

I  learned a lot about Alaska from that letter.  I learned so much that it made me want to learn way more.  Maybe someday not so long in the future, I’ll get to go to Alaska and when I go there, I’m going to go see my new friends at Ravn Alaska so I can meet all of the people working there.

They sound to me to be very caring because they do so much to help everyone.  They don’t just get people to their vacation destinations (that’s what I like to call it because it sounds way more fun that way). They help people get food to their grocery stores, and they help get medicine and doctors and nurses to where they have to be to help people who aren’t feeling well.

Maybe they’ll even show me on a map how far away all the places are that they fly to with their planes.  If I’m lucky, maybe I’ll even get to ride in one of their airplanes.  I think that would be superly fun to do!

P.S.  If you look at the letter, you’ll see that’s a raven on their letterhead.  I think that’s so neat they did that.  And plus, it looks great.
